Beth started her career in dentistry working as a Treatment Co-Ordinator (TCO) and quickly developed a passion for chairside work after just a couple of days observing. She transitioned to Desford Dental Care 3 months later in January of 2019 as a Trainee Dental Nurse, qualified in 2020 and became the Head Nurse in 2024. In addition to her Head Nurse duties, she completes TCO administrative tasks as needed and has completed a post-qualification in Oral Health Education. She is continuing to develop her clinical skills by undertaking in-house training as well as planning to complete further formal qualifications, such as radiography.
One of Beth’s most important and passionate roles in the practice is ensuring the highest standards of cross-infection across the clinical team, providing training and guidance where needed. She also enjoys organising and running Oral Health Education sessions with local schools and clubs along with our Foundation Dentists, giving children access to support sessions in good brushing techniques and healthy food habits.
When not at work, Beth likes to spend her time with her husband and daughter, Elsie, as well as the ‘occasional’ shopping trip!
