Dr Hanish and Dr Shilpa started Desford Dentalcare in 2003 and since then have seen the practice grow.

From the start, Hanish’s passion has been to make Desford Dentalcare a place that is a welcoming and friendly place to visit. This was reflected in their mission statement Calm, Quality Care.

Hanish has built a reputation for helping patients to overcome their anxiety of having dental treatment. His friendly and calm manner has meant that he has seen generations of patients stay and grow with the practice. He has undertaken extensive training in acupuncture, hypnosis and other methods to help achieve a relaxed consultation.

Prevention and early intervention mean that patients that see Hanish can achieve the smile they’re looking for. Over the years Hanish has completed a huge amount of postgraduate courses to help patients achieve the smile they are looking for. He is certified to provide extensive Invisalign treatments as well as facial aesthetic treatments.

Hanish has a post-graduate qualification in medical education and has been an Educational Supervisor for newly qualified dentists since 2005, this has made sure he has been able to share his extensive knowledge to the next generation of dentists as well as keeping him up to date with the latest developments within dentistry. He has been elected by dental colleagues to represent them in numerous committees since 1998 over the years.

When he is not helping run the practice, Hanish loves spending time with his family, keeping fit playing badminton and football. He has in the past started a drop-in lunch club for local pensioners and run a youth club to help young people find a passion in sport, He continues to fund a local community group by climbing mountains and appearing on TV quizzes. In the future, he hopes to devote even more time helping others.
